MAST3RBoost Holds Its Final General Assembly, Marking the Successful Conclusion of the Project

On 16 July 2026, the MAST3RBoost consortium gathered online for its Final General Assembly, bringing together all project partners to review the achievements of the past years, discuss the final technical and communication activities, and reflect on the project’s contribution to advancing hydrogen storage technologies in Europe. The meeting was held via Microsoft Teams and followed a full-day agenda covering all project work packages, technical results and final reporting activities.

The General Assembly opened with welcome remarks from the project coordinator, followed by comprehensive presentations on the scientific and technical progress achieved across the different Work Packages. Partners from the consortium presented the outcomes of their work, highlighting the collaborative efforts that have driven innovation throughout the project.

The morning sessions focused on the technical developments carried out in Work Packages 1 to 6, including the design and development of advanced ultraporous materials, material characterisation, manufacturing processes, system integration and validation activities. Each presentation was followed by dedicated discussion sessions, allowing partners to exchange feedback, review key achievements and address the final steps towards project completion.

In the afternoon, attention turned to the horizontal activities developed under Work Packages 7 and 8, covering communication, dissemination, exploitation and project management. Partners reviewed the impact generated through the project’s outreach activities, stakeholder engagement, scientific dissemination and exploitation strategy, while also discussing the final reporting requirements and the successful closure of the project.

Throughout the meeting, consortium members reflected on the significant progress made during MAST3RBoost. By combining advanced material development, innovative manufacturing approaches and machine learning techniques, the project has contributed to strengthening Europe’s capabilities in hydrogen storage technologies, supporting the transition towards a more sustainable and resilient energy system.

The Final General Assembly also provided an opportunity to recognise the strong collaboration established among the consortium partners. The exchange of expertise across research organisations, universities and industrial partners has been instrumental in achieving the project’s ambitious objectives and delivering high-quality scientific and technological results.

As MAST3RBoost reaches its conclusion, the consortium remains committed to ensuring that the knowledge, methodologies and results generated throughout the project continue to support future research, innovation and industrial uptake in the field of hydrogen storage.
